Families supporting families

Many of our local families want to support those who have been impacted by the Eaton Fire. Beyond financial support, many would like to give social, emotional, and administrative support. We’re asking for families to commit to six months of weekly check-ins with their assigned family. If you are interested in caring for someone who needs our support, please complete our application. We will have an orientation before we assign families supporting families.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service - Monday, January 20, 2025 12pm-2pm

We are organizing for a Day of Service to raise funds to support families displaced by the fires, to bring our community and neighbors together, and to provide our children (and adults) respite from the stress of the past few weeks. If you would like to help us coordinate, please complete the volunteer form.

For questions, reach out to Mark Kindhouse - mark.kindhouse [AT] gmail.com

Give to Support Urgent Needs

We are receiving donations via Venmo to help get financial support to people quickly. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will go entirely to those impacted by the fires. You can also send donations via Zelle to kylesears@lacanadachurch.org.
